Doris Samuel Akonanya was born in Anambra

State, Nigeria with both of her legs intact, strong, and healthy. She had a regular childhood. She went to nursery school, primary school, had friends, ran around the playground, caused a littlebit of mischief here and there, played hide and seek with her friends, participated in interhousesports, relay races, all of the normal things a growing child of that age indulges in.

 

The Twist of Fate is always motivating and inspiring, just as the story of this beautiful Nollywood Actress, who was able to surmount all hardships she has been through and emerge a winner in her life story, fulfilling her childhood dreams to become a Nollywood actress. 

Her name is Doris Samuel Akonanya, she has not always been this physically challenged because she had both her legs in her childhood days until she was involved in a fatal accident with a motorcyclist at the age of 13, which resulted in damage to one of her legs and an operation was needed to be carried out in order to save her leg. 

But after diagnosis, the Doctors discovered that one of her legs was greatly affected by the accident and there was nothing that could be done unless it was amputated so as to relieve her of the pain. That was the saddening way Doris lost one of her legs and had to learn how to move and get her things done while using support aids.
